Mark Carter

COO

Mark is a seasoned executive with experience in food safety that spans both food companies and laboratory service providers. He has held progressive positions that include served as CEO of QC Laboratories, Corporate Vice- President of R&D at Silliker Group Corporation (Merieux Nutrisciences), Section Manager for Microbiology and Food Safety at Kraft Foods and Corporate Laboratory Group Leader at McKee Foods Corporation. Mark is a graduate of University of Georgia with a B.S. in Microbiology and also holds an M.S.A. from Columbus State University. He is also a registered clinical and public health microbiologist with the American Academy of Microbiologists. Mark is responsible for leading the development of the procedures and systems that will drive Matrix’s ability to deliver exceptional service across our portfolio companies.
